WHY HOOLIGANS NATION?
Giving honor to the old Karl Kani motto: "BY US. FOR US." Hooligans Nation was created to empower Americans who have been placed on the back burner in society. Unlike Facebook which distracts and takes time away from our daily lives, we have developed this platform to support, encourage and uplift one another in the spirit of Truth.
Pro's and Con's of using this platform:
With technology bring entrapment. While technology is cool, fun and easily accessible; Freedom is diminished, as we are tracked and monitored and censored by mainstream platforms as far and deep as google itself.
That being said; Hooligans Nation is independent of all big tech technology and linking in an effort to provide you 100% privacy. The only way anyone will know what you are doing is if you invite them. All conversations are blocked from google searches and encrypted. All profile have personal privacy options for those who wish to connect with "only" friends and family. With a private profile only your friends, family and collegues will see your posts.
Posting on Hooligans Nation:
In the tradition of the original newspaper, we have segregated posts to categories so that you can comment and posts on topics that fit your specific interests. As a result; when posting you will be asked to select a category for your post. We know this takes a few seconds more time than typical social media platforms (that are monitored and based solely on algarythms and website trackers.), but this helps keep our platform specific to personal interests (without the need for tracking, or monitoring).
Inappropriate Speech:
Inappropriate speech is blocked by keywords so that your posts are never blocked from public view. Rather than suppress your freedom of speech the banned word is displayed as "****" as to not offend any readers.
Hidden Conversation:
Posts display title and body content only. To engage in a post, click on the post to initiate conversation. We did this as a result of a survey of Facebook users who complain to have had their moods altered by login onto Facebook and seeing posts and comments that disturb them. This is mores dangerous when lolling onto social media first thing in the mornings, where your mood at the beginning of the day can effect your entire day. As we seek to empower, we have strayed away from the typical norms of social media.
